A spooktacular duck race at midday on Saturday 31st October 2026 as hundreds of bright yellow toy ducks race down the River Lym in Lyme Regis. Starting at Woodmead Road bridge, the ducks paddle past Lymbrook Cottages and Jericho to the finish line at Jordan Flats. All proceeds from the race go to Lyme Heartbeat, a volunteer group which installs and looks after a number of 24 hour access defibrillators in Lyme Regis.
With Halloween falling on race day, expect plenty of quackers, creepy currents and a few spooky surprises as the ducks battle their way down the river!
The race is organised by Lyme Regatta & Carnival team.
Volunteers ensure every duck is safely collected after the finish — so it’s fun and eco-friendly!
